China is a part of the wide, wide world; if she can take good care of her own people, that itself is a laudable contribution to the world.
Imagine all countries can take good care of their own peoples, the world will be a better place indeed.

Contribution can come in many forms which can be narrowed down to material and good role model.
China has been an aid donor, giving assistance to poor countries. It had even waived debts of some African countries sometime back.
China has undertaken development deals with a number of countries. China plays a major role in the Mekong river development project in SEA.
China now actively participates in UN peacekeeping. It is also a first time China sends out its Navy to safeguard merchangt ship... (More details.)

Western dominance will never fade? Being a Westerner you do not want to believe it is fading. Yes it is fading not slowly but fast enough for you to feel it.
The law of gravity says what goes up must come down. My law of opportunity says you have had your turn, now it is someone" else turn.
The world has had enough of Western dominance. You can see that many countries do not listen to Western rhetoric on human rights, freedom and its democracy. This is a sign of Western... (More details.)

is China aware the Rio Tinto scenario is making them the laughing stock of the western business world . I for one now avoid purchasing chinese made goods -
China must learn that trade is a two way benefit and not to mix business with politics - china will not get the technology to flourish while it is run by dictators

China is entitled to protect itself from corrupt activity. The more China stamps out corruption, the better it will be to do business with. ABout 60% of chinas corruption comes from foreign businesses getting to good a deal from chinese bureaucracy and business - in other words stealing favorable terms. Most of us in the west have benefited from this.If you try to stop buying chinese products, you will be naked and homeless. There is no alternative.

If China must learn that trade is a two way benefit and not to mix business with politics, this applies to western countries as well. What is behind "China made products"? Millions of migrant labours making a living leaving their families and children behind; China taking up / "benefiting" only from the part of manufacturing on the production chain at the price of polluting its natural resource, with the true profit-makers being the countries doing the designing and marketing and the rest withou... I welcome your views and fully agree the world now is changinf from a Western dominated period to a more balanced rest of the world influence. This will not come easily or quickly, but I welcome this time of change and see reason for long term improvement among all of Earth"s citizens

Western dominance will never fade - they are to far advanced in technology , politics, legal systems and have highly educated free thinking citizens where human rights and the rights of the individual flourised.
In ancient Greece it is the democratic Athenean model that contributed so much whereas the totalitarian spartan model has made no conribution of significance to humanity

China can contribute to the emergence of a more stable and balanced international economy. In the process of its industrial development, it has lifted hundreds of millions of its own citizens out of poverty; its exports have kept inflation low in the developed world. It must now assume greater responsibility for tackling climate change and help fashion a finacial order in which other currencies supplement the U. S. dollar as a reserve currency. It must also demonstrate by its actions that its ri... (More details.)

China contributed with illegal immigrants and currency manipulation by making other countries bankrupt. Now cheer upon it.
