| I think chinese goverment and its media are in illusion of being a super power. One cannot become a super power by occupying the lands of others and accusing others the same. The history says, when you got power whatever it is, you have to behave responsibly. If you abuse your power, the history will repeat sooner or later. |

The colonialist British is to be blamed for this bogus McMahon line. They were the troublemakers of the world, with their "divide and rule" policy. Inciting brothers against brothers, neighbors against neighbors. That"s how a tiny island nation can do this "The sun never sets on the British Empire" thing.
Let me ask you this and you can answer truthfully. Do the people of Tawang (so-called Arunachal Pradesh) look like India Indians or Chinese Tibetans?
End of argument! |

| Sir, nothing could be far from truth: India is what you say! Right from US, to the tiny island of Maldives, no one will accept your demand. You are sayig about the war with you in 1962. It is you who have captured aksai chin and it is yet to be reintegrated with our great democratic nation! India is always seeking peace with everyone, but that shows its, confidence. But it always ready for any eventuality!! |

Dear Sir,
You said that India had been ruled throughout its history by foreigners. Yes may be true. Don"t forget that china was a vast country and it had to bend its knees before British in the Opium wars and also before the Japanese. Eventually America bombed the Japan and Japan vacated your country. |

I believe this writing is the ideas of the writer himself and not a biased one. Though many may not agree to his points.
It"s only misunderstandings which is a stumbling block to the solving of border disputes. The leaders must adopt to a give and take policy in terms of the border and resolve this for once and all. It is extremely important for both the countries. Once this is solved, the relations will automatically improve to the benefit of both the countries. |

Dear Sir,
I cannot fully agree with the opinion that India is making trouble for its neighbours including China. In fact China, unnecessarily, time and again, repeatedly claiming that Arunachal Pradesh is part of China. The reporter is not mentioning anything about the encroachment made by China in Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh. China is also doing a global blunder as helping Pakistan fight with India, ignoring
that Pakistan soil is the factory for all terrorists.

I do not agree with the authors view about india,i think has no intensions of hegemony infact indian media potrays same about china. Indian people surely envy and also have a very high regard for the chinese people for their fast paced economic development and superbly organised olympic games.
I think both the countries should amicably solve the border issues and there is plenty of space for both the countires to grow. |

India always want to keep good relationship with all its neighbours.
China we say in India Bai Bai means brothers. All Chinese are our brothers.
There is no dispute needed between the brothers. All disputes to be solved amicably. |

| India is not hegemonic, A reputed Newspaper Like Peoples Daily should not behave like im mature media outlets. In India anything published in PD is taken very serious and considered as Govt Voice, So stop saying something which can harm already strained ties b/w two big asian giants. |

| The view that India aspires to be a superpower is absurd. For starter, there is no `India". There are many Indias depending on which Indic language you speak and which caste you belong to. An average Indian does not take pride in being an Indian, does not care about how the country is faring in the International arena. The dream of an average middle class Indian is to settle and work abroad. |

| Further to my morning comment. You have mentioned British India as "the country." As a matter of fact, British India was a nomenclature given to the colony of several independent states and disputed territories that Britain brought under its colonial rule. Nepal shared border with this imperialist power. Nepal fought a war with this expansionist imperialist power in 1815. Britain consequently annexed substantive part of Nepal into its colony. Present-day Nepal is minus this annexation. |

| I respect the sovereignty of China and few claims on business dealing. However, India and indian has all the right to defends their national on all front. As far as india foreign policy is concerned, it has many shortcoming specially in case of relationship with the neighbors. Bu the language and dealing of Chinese media about India is itself too biased and non-technical/Non- scientific. To put your word in proper order and discipline is the main requirement of china. A bad relation ship with Ch... (More details.) |

| What are the concessions that China has made so far to India? You have rightly stated that India was a vas country which includd Pakistan and Bangaldesh. India sacrificed the permanent seat at the security council and offered it to you. Is China"s concessions, if at all there were, greater than this. Despite such support and trust, you have attacked india in 1962 without any provocation. China aids and abets all those hostile to India and provide covert support to the maoists. China is an ungrat... (More details.) |
