| With all due respect, strategic patience if often necessary and not weakness. The forces advocating total "independence" of Taiwan (which would neverf occur because what they really want is the present situation of strategic dependence of Taiwan on foreign patrons) are powerful in both U.S. political parties and many belive there is already a defense agreement between Taiwan and the U.S. The Government of China has many brutal legacies of history still alive in China that must be dealt with, man...
