India restricts coverage of Dalai Lama"s trip
By RAVI NESSMAN
The Associated Press
Thursday, November 5, 2009
"NEW DELHI -- India effectively barred foreign journalists Thursday from covering a rare visit by the Dalai Lama to a Buddhist monastery close to Tibet in an apparent effort to ease Chinese anger by reducing news coverage of the trip.
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader"s planned visit Sunday to the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh - the heart of a long-running border dispute... (More details.) |

| Politics aside, the Dalai Lama is a religious figure for Buddhists and others around the world. The constant vilification of him by the official press in China is disappointing and sad from a country that has given birth so many important human ideas for millennia. It is time for the Chinese state to reach out to this man and stop with the nasty name-calling that is beneath it. The U.S. eventually had to listen to Martin Luther King, Jr. as the British to Mohandas Gandhi. Both countries looked a... (More details.) |

| This is not a authentic presentation on Tibet and Tibetan people. Notice, all these so called "Tibetology" has to be approved by Party"s line. Very sad to see that there isn"t anyone in Beijing who does not want to truly understand Tibetan people"s plight. |

The usual spiel by the Indian government on any issue is to back iy up with more outrageous statements. If the area legally belongs to China as does Arunachal Pradeash, don;t worry it will be taken back by Chinain time.
The bluster of the Bungi Republic of India cannot scare other nations. Maybe it is their Brahmanism that makes them think they can be a World Power. |

| Anything is internal, until UN has chance to take a serious note of it, which is similar to Saddam Hussain. Every capital punishment should be justifiable, not politically motivated. |

The headline should be:
Internal strife pierces Dalai"s "nonviolent resistance."
Quotation marks are important because we know the DL isn"t sincere about his so-called "non-violence." |

Really sad how greed can drive people to deprive others of basic needs for unfortunates. Why he does not do a noble deed and lead his people back home to the security and care of the Motherland, is a puzzle to me.

| Dear Thomas. I agree with you 100%. If the Dalai Lama is really sincere and really care for the Tibetans living in exile, he should find a solution for the peaceful return of the Tibetans in exile to Tibet. But he is not. He continues his luxurious lifestyle travelling around the world and continues to incite tension in Tibet. Afterall, it is the Tibetan in exiles who are suffering not him. High time for the Tibetans in exiles to kick the useless Dalai Lama out and plan for peaceful return... (More details.) |

| Dalai Lama"s actions reflect more of alienation from China than of affection towards India. As China"s control over had Tibet had weakened during days of Mc Mohan survey, its only practical for him to consult Tibetans to finalise the survey. This means because the China"s control over Tibet had weakened, the Tibet administration had asserted its control, which is natural happening in any part of the world that when the central power wanes, regional power gets its influence back. This has happene... (More details.) |
