Someone (white guys?) called the Chinese "yellow monkeys". If so, what do you call us? Do you know that there are many people with yellow or darker complexion in East Asia? Don"t tell me that you like us!

I was amazed again at the comments to the World Focus by Prof Robert T. of Columbia University.
A Professorship is erned by honesty and intelligence but it does not appear that he has these attributes. He igored history and his comments suggested that China has hardened its stand against Dalai and independence of Tibet might be possible because of the hard stand. This obseervation of him appears sbsurb, exp from a prestigous U. If he meant what he said, then he should first tell US government to... (More details.)

All Chinese are idiots? That is what the previous PD user say. Too bad and I feel sorry for you since you have to co-exist with 1.3 billion idiots (20% of world population), and you cannot avoid them in your daily life. The stupid Chinese boys and girls will get married with white idiots in your countries to reproduce more and more idiots. Eventually, the world will reach an equilibrium. There will be a problem for you in the very near future. As you are one of the few intelligent people in the ... (More details.)

The press conference was held at Press Club of India, New Delhi. More than 20 journalists showed up. In Ooty, South India, The campaign of signature and swearing was conducted among 70 Tibetan vendor families. Four families were Shugden devotees. This campaign broke the friendship, intimacy and harmony between 70 families and four families. Their campaigns are unofficially officials. To the outside, they say public volunteer campaign. Tibet is an integral part of China. The Autonomous Region of Tibet has its own government; its governor is an ethnic Tibetan; the mayor of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, is also an ethnic Tibetan . The Dalai Lama has been ousted for half of a century. Why does China have to negotiate with Dalai Lama’s Government-in-Exile ? Doesn’t China realize that in doing so China is legitimizing Dalai Lama’s Government-in-Exile?
If China continues to talk with Dalai Lama"s representatives, then the West ... (More details.)

If you believe Tibet before 1959 was a peaceful fairyland, and the monks were peaceful and kind to the ordinary folks (serfs/slaves), you may continue to do so. But that is only your idealized version of Tibet which has never existed.
What do you mean by the term "Chinese" and "let the Tibetans alone?"? I think you should read the webpages of this website labelled "Tibet: Past and Present" to understand the history. You will see scanned... (More details.)

The armed rebellion in 1959 of Dalai"s was funded by the CIA and people including Dalai"s brothers have been trained in the USA. In preparation for disrupting the Olympic Games this time, Dalai"s group got funding from CIA related non-profit organizations (like National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Similar stories have been reported by other authors of Global Research of Canada, and New York Times. I shall find the references of the articles for those who are interested in this subject.

Most people in the west think that Tibet was a fairyland under the rule of Dalai Lama where people lived freely and the monks are kind and peaceful. It was a shock to them when they hear recently that Tibet before 1959 was ruled by a medieval slavery system. Therefore, what the so called "Free Tibet" separatist movement is promoting (restoration of theocracy) is basically immoral.

As an overseas Chinese, I know it is not in our culture to harbour any hatred towards westerners. In fact, the leaders and the Chinese are curious about the world. There is nothing bad and everyone remains calm until some people in the west stirred up such trouble with a very arrogant attitude and fabricated stories. I can tell you squarely at your face that none of these arrogant an... (More details.)

Why not study the history of Tibet first before you talk? If you study, you will know about the slavery and the good old days of the slave masters which was not too different from the good old days of the slave masters in the old south of the USA before emancipation. If you do not study, you have no right to comment. It is immoral to say so much before you see the facts. What I mean facts are historical facts that has existed and been documented for so many centuries when China was ruled under d... (More details.)

Dear Editor,
concerning postings by IP 58.37.8.* on 2008-05-18:
Is this the face that Chinese media want to present to the world"s netizens ahead of the Olympic games? Threats and abusive language heaped on the author of a previous, reasonable posting? You can"t be serious.
In any other moderated online comment section abusive language as above would never get published. I know that you are biased, that is fair enough. But you are not doing the image of China any favour by posting abusive unrefl... (More details.)

Most Americans aren"t interested in Tibet. However, from our perspective, he appears to be a religious man of faith and conviction. People who post comments about the DL being "brutal, savage, or a crazy dog" is not something many Westerners would agree with. China would do well to ignore the DL since he is in exile anyway and really can"t change or do anything substantial. It would seem that most of the world does not share China"s views on the DL and Chinese verbal attacks on him don"t go ... (More details.)

What do you know about Dalai and his history? Your agreement or disagreement is not that important if you know nothing. Facts and historical records are there for you to examine. If you do not, it is your problem, but not that of China. Dalai Lama won"t become a clean person just because you refuse to study the facts.

Study before you comment please. What do you know about China and its history? There are tonnes of historical evidence that you do not read. If you are interested in the subject, be humble and read about the facts, and do not talk based strictly on assumptions. Why don"t you come to China/Tibet to see the truth by yourselves. When the scholars in China and those in other countries talk about slavery, it is supported by artefacts and documents. Many of the former slaves (though very old now) are... (More details.)

I agree Tibet is historically part of China and should stay in China, but please you do not have to attack the USA to make your argument against the Dalai Lama. It is in US and China"s economic, military, social and political interests to cooperate and be good friends. The US govt. is no fool, even if you don"t like their views, they do not want to create a problem with Tibet for the CCP. This is not the 1950s or 1950s Cold War people!
