| I was so sad about the earthquake. I have always hoped to teach a year or two in Chengdu Province because I like the terrain of the region. I hope that the region is able to recover and continue, perhaps with better building construction resulting from this sad moment. |

The problem is China lost so many children one of the things that I admire about Chinese is there treatment of Children. Everything they do is for there children and this is not just because of the one child policy. Some western people complain when a Chinese person says hello to there children because such praise and kindness is unheard-of and treated as suspicion but people who understand the culture and have lived in China admire it.
I have also had the misfortune to be involved with someone ... (More details.) |

Not sure if these are the right words in English ,how can you be cheerful,,when you got 68,000 plus dead people and many more that are homeless..
Not since 1975 when the last earthquake killed 280,000 people has there be such a tragedy as the Chinese now have..and knowing the Chinese as I do; I"m sure they will recover,,but cheer up ,,how can any one be cheerful..
thanks for reading and posting this Brian
