| No, you get the facts wrong. Vietnam did not attack Cambodia and Laos to rescue people of Vietnames descent then. You know when Vietnam entered these countries, Pol Pot"s regime was near its end anyway. Pol Pot"s killing field experiment which has led to the death of several millions people was almost over then. | I realized that these immigrants were different than the other immigrants to Canada 20 years ago when I met a lovely girl from Sri Lanka who had been held hostage by Tamil fighters.I knew from that time that the situation there in Sri Lanka was very serious and sad.I hope that all Sri Lankans in Canada can now forget the past and move on with living in modern Canada and deal with Canadian problems- a task that requires 100 percent focus. |

LTTE is a terrorist organization...
These protesters are only demonstarting because they want the war to continue in Sr Lanka. Then these so called diaspora can stay as asylum seekers in western countries living luxury lives.
If they truly care about tamils in Sri Lanka, they can now go back to Sri Lanka and assist the government to re-construct and develop the areas that were destroyed by the terrorist during the last 26 years. |

Greetings from Ottawa Canada. The Tamils did the same thing here in my town, blocking traffic for 8 straight days, waving terrorist flags and such. The police were adamant that they would not arrest them, saying that they have a sworn duty to uphold the peace. Well they also have a sworn duty to enforce the law, though it seems they only enforce some laws.

Desperate times calls for desperate actions/measures!
