1st comment on here--sure is lots of anger here?
I am American who has been to China several times--in fact have Chinese wife-
I always enjoy my trips to China and their people and will probaly buy 2nd home their on island of Hainan.
I believe a lot of these comments come from those who have never been to China or never been to America--My adive would talk to people that have visited each and you will get positive comments from both.
I do a lot of work in financials and am invested mostly in chi... (More details.) |

Speaking of Barack Obama:
Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not a... (More details.) |

I read a story the other day on the yahoo home page. It was basically asking the question we all hope to avoid. What is going to happen when China figures out that all the US Treasury bonds they now possess are totally worthless?
It"s a fair question, I guess. |

Already there is talk in the U.S. from those around Obama, about revitalizing NASA, increasing spending on control of space and about seeing China as a strategic long-term threat. The same was alluded to in the book by Bob Woodward "Plan of Attack" (a classified document alluded to by Woodward listed 4 strategic threats: 1) Al Qaeda; 2) global terrorism; 3) nuclear proliferation; 4)China
I would like to know of one instance, from 1949 to the present, where China did anything threatening to the U... (More details.) |

Obama"s election was a fluke and result of a coming together of diverse and unprecedented events and contradictions; otherwise he would have never had a chance even though he has calculatingly, step-by-step, each step leading to the next, prepared himself for this taking of the presidency which was a long shot.
Bottom line is that the Democratic Party is as much a Cold War and anti-China party as the Republicans (perhaps more so as the Dems try to fend off the charge of being "too left" with the... (More details.) |

| As an American speaking here, I"d like to point out that there are many people in America that agree with the people who have written these comments. While it may seem that Obama does not intend true change, I"d like to suggest that he may very well intend to put America on a better course. They say it is most possible to effect change from within. So now he"s truly "within". Of course he must work with the seasoned politicians if he is to get anything done. He will need to be a true master to... (More details.) |

| If Obama does not share the same mentality of all his predecessors, he would not be elected. Which is, Obama would follow similar foreign policy as Bush. What is the difference is that Bush has already invaded two sovereign nations, Afghanistan and Iraq; Obama just needs to maintain the American presence. The stupid one took the action and the clever one harvest the fruit. I do not see what different image Obama can be offered. Perhaps Obama might be more capable to cloak his real intention ... "FINAL BOUT # 10 OF 10: BEN HAS DONE & GONE PAST IT"
NO knockout, well done! Now the water is as clear as crystal being transparent on such important fiscal policy of great US value. It is entirely up to the US community to rein in such gesture of an almost in-effect zero interest rate commercial environment. Integrity of Fed will pave the way for "STRENGTH" dollar or otherwise economic re-development or re-jigging of "old gold mines", indeed, and realisable very soon.
If Japan being the #2 worl... (More details.) |

Barack Obama"s decisive election victory certainly marks another milestone in cultural changes within the United States. And that should not be underestimated.
However, during his election campaign, then-Senator Barack Obama made far fewer foreign policy promises than his most ardent, enthusiastic supporters seem to believe.
Indeed, during his little more than three and a half years in the U.S. Senate, Obama usually (quietly) voted to give President Bush the funding Bush wanted to keep the Iraq ... (More details.) |

I agree with most of these comments. It is the system and its core imperatives that is the issue not who nominally (on the surface) runs it or how they say they feel about things.
Imperial systems are about wealth for hegemony and hegemony for wealth. Their only "morality" and mentality is conquest and domination. They never tolerate or respect for others, the very same laws, rights and privileges they assert for themselves. Those who run them, and a portion of their citizenry, believe they have... | Good comments. In my opinion, regardless who is in power in the US, it will be the same that is world domination. American’s mentality is only one thing that is my way or no way. Obama may play the game in a more diplomatic on the surface but he will be no much difference in principle to keep the American mentality. I would rather have Mr. Bush continuing to lead the US so people of the world will see more clear about the real US and not sugar coated which is sweet outside and bitter inside.... (More details.) |

Regarding your opinion piece, "Is Obama Going to Reshape the
American Image", all I wish to say is expect superficial changes, but expect nothing substantially different. For example, his vice president and cabinet and White House staff are all seasoned capitalist politicians. Their job will be to stabilize US financial interests and protects the US military dominance worldwide. Obama has promised one specific change: he will go aggressively into Pakistan to pursue the so-called terrorists with... (More details.) |

Dear Sir,
America a selfish self, obsessed and power hungry nation will always look for World dominance by all means.Believing Obama to change American views and actions would be a fatal mistake.China must always strive to build the most superior military power by all means in order to avoid any damage that could be inflicted upon her by evil western countries especially America and its do called allies.Dhawa Singi from Mt.Qumolungma |

| Obama is just another American president. When he is talking about to withdraw the American troops from Iraq, he is talking to redeploy these troops to Afhganistan. What is the difference with Obama and Bush? Clinton had been talking to withdraw the American troops from SE Asia to honour his election promise but he did not really withdraw the troops. He had done some redeployment only. They are just talking of military dominance, spreading the fear on terrorism all over the world so that the U... (More details.) |

He may seems to be different in personality and style but the principles are the same which is my way or no way. Watch out people, something sweet outside does not mean is good for you. Watch out what"s inside. Americans are fed up with Bush not because they don"t like what Bush"s motives but because they don"t like Bush"s style and the way he carried out US policies are offended many people around the w... | Not only the people in the world should defend themselves against American unilateralism, but the the American people should also watch out for their government"s unilateralism. Many of the problems in the world, and what the American people are facing today are the consequences of American unilateralism. I this sense, Bush"s government is a very bad one. |
