We do not have any major problem with Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Srilanka.
Pakistan needs to dispute with India for their survival.
China uses the border dispute as a reserve card to downplay India.
It is not India, but China and Pakistan who want to keep the border issues alive. |

The China enjoys good relations with some of India"s neighbours is a joke.
It is actually the China which has given access to the nuclear weapons to pakistan and north korea. If they are rogue states, then china is master of all rogue states.
You are not a democracy and therefore you can forge ahead fast. India is a democracy and it is answerable to many pressure groups in the country and outside. That is the reason our progress is slow.
On the contrary we will not break up. But once democracy... (More details.) |

China will never, ever, win a war with India and India will never win against China in a war. India can do immense damage and destruction to China if China have the aducity to attack India.
Today wars cannot be won or lost thats obsolete. Only damage and destruction can be done.

If these two countries will engage head-on, all their sacrifices to bring their economies skyrocketing will be put in vain. The better for these countries to do is to bring border disputes in the arena of diplomacy. I do not believe India is subservient to the whims and caprices of Uncle Sam. to see that the countries of Asia quarrel and fight each so that we will always remain weak and they can rule the world. I am from India. I like China for its efforts and success in becoming a Major power not only in Asia but in a larger Eurasian region.
India has its problems and i hope Indian ruling class is working towards it but what China is doing is absolutely not necessary, especially on Border isues.
I dont think India will go down meekly and all this China Jingoism is probably directed towards Chinese internal population. |

Why should the MacMahon Line that was nade durung the days British rule in India be relevent in this day and age? Even if the Kuomingtan accepted the MacMahon Line as the border between India and China in August 1947, that does not rule it out as being a hold-over of the British Empire in India.
There seems to be a double standard here for the simple reason India declared On December 19, 1961, that Portuguese India, which India had accepted as legal in August 1947, was no longer relevent and had... (More details.) |

India like any other nation is within its rights to take measures as deemed fit to protect itself. I do not understand the logic of China developing itself militarily in Tibet & feeling bad when India does the same.
Also, the Mc Mohan line was not objected to by the KMT Govt when India became independent in 1947 Na dhas remained the de facto border between British India & China for over a cventry. Why the fuss now ? |
